Who am I?

I am an accredited executive coach focused on working with professionals through career or life transitions (for example, working towards a promotion, or managing the parent transition). I really enjoy getting to know people, listening to their challenges and helping them find a way to be their best selves in their careers while managing work and life.

For 12 years I was a transactional lawyer in a global law firm, the last 5 of these as a Partner. I always enjoyed supporting the other members of the team, and helping the more junior members develop.

After having my first child, I became aware that although I'd always believed lawyers should be able to combine a successful and fulfilling career with the demands of a life outside of the office, it wasn't always easy to do so. I became the partner sponsor for an internal group focusing on the development of wellness, caring and parenting support initiatives, including maternity networking and coaching.

I also have first-hand experience of being coached. After my second child I started questioning the direction that my career was taking. I had some coaching that felt supportive and entirely non-judgmental, but also challenged me to look at things from a different perspective.

As a result I felt empowered to make choices about my career that I hadn't been able to previously - and those choices felt entirely authentic. I began to truly appreciate the power of coaching. My unique business experience, combined with the fact that I take real pleasure in seeing others reach their potential, inform my coaching style.

I am passionate about inclusivity and diversity and, as mother to two children, I also understand the personal challenges faced by working parents. Most recently I have also become interested in supporting women through the menopause transition.

I love reading and continued learning with a view to incorporating what I learn into my coaching. In addition to my Coaching Diploma with the AoEC, I’ve completed course in Psychology for Coaches and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Coaches. I also hold a Mental Health First Aid Certificate.
